"October Spring"
When we think of the Peaceful Revolution of 1989, many people think of the mass protests in Leipzig and Berlin. Just how widespread the revolution was across the country becomes clear when we consider the number of places where demonstrations took place before the fall of the Wall: more than 325, from the Baltic Sea to Saxon Switzerland. The staged reading "October Spring" combines historical sources and eyewitness accounts from all over the country to create a kaleidoscope of the Peaceful Revolution.
