YOU ARE NOT TAKING MY COUNTRY FROM ME
Marion Brasch: I want to stay where I've never been
Robert Beckmann: New hard words
Daniel Dorsch: Sound aesthetics
Bleiben will ich, wo ich nie gewesen bin is the last line of one of Thomas Brasch's best-known poems. And it is a key line for the writer, playwright and filmmaker, of whom the theater man Claus Peymann said that his life was a "wild novel", "a novel about East and West".
In her debut novel "Ab jetzt ist Ruhe", MARION BRASCH tells the story of her family. In this reading, she focuses on her older brother Thomas. In a collage of text, scenes and film, she has woven these questions into a story.
She will be accompanied by singer and violinist ROBERT BECKMANN and multi-instrumentalist DANIEL DORSCH. The basic idea of the songs is the responsibility of the artist as a critically reflective person of the present. They take up the idea of being able to change something, to create something new from something old, interwoven with a good dash of melancholy.
