Hauck & Bauer: "Cartoons. The live show"
The cartoons by Hauck & Bauer are familiar from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung, TITANIC and Apotheken Umschau. But you only really get to know them on stage. In their cartoon readings, Hauck & Bauer throw their drawings on the wall and set them to music live with distributed roles. For the first time, you can hear the characters as their creators intended them to be heard. And that makes everything even worse or even more beautiful!
Elias Hauck (drawings) and Dominik Bauer (words), both born in 1978, have known each other since their school days in Lower Franconia. Since 2003 they have been publishing their column "Am Rande der Gesellschaft" (On the edge of society) in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung as Hauck & Bauer - H&B for short; since 2008 they have been permanent contributors to the satirical magazine TITANIC. For Anke Engelke's WDR program "Anke hat Zeit", the two also produced their cartoons in animated form. Their work has won several awards, most recently the Sondermann Prize for Comic Art 2021.
