Only Sad Love Songs - Joris Rose writes coming-of-age stories from his shared room in Rostock, which he now presents at the Kulturhafen.

Only Sad Love Songs - Joris Rose writes coming-of-age stories from his shared room in Rostock, stylishly wrapped up in a robe of indie pop with an anthemic character. An insider tip for fans of Phoebe Bridgers, Jeremy Zucker or Lewis Capaldi.

His current single "not meant to stay" is on the NDR1 rotation, he was part of the "EVENTIM Popkurs" young talent promotion program and won first place in the most important newcomer competition in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The music thing was always a foregone conclusion. Joris gained his first experience on stage at the age of 12, when he was still playing punk. At some point, he got his hands on an acoustic guitar and immediately fell in love. From then on, he performed on numerous stages with his guitar and voice and even then only wrote songs about love. After leaving school, Joris fulfilled a small dream - he toured England playing in pubs and on the streets. In London, he even becomes part of the Go Out of Tune Sessions, a live video series of the London music scene.

Joris Rose impresses with catchy songwriting and a charismatic stage presence. He will be presenting his debut album - Only Sad Love Songs - with a live band in 2024.
