FROM VANCOUVER TO ALASKA
The Braunschweig-based globetrotter and travel journalist shows spectacular images, films and aerial footage of his four-month bicycle tour from Vancouver to the Canadian Arctic Ocean to Anchorage in Alaska, which he undertook from May to September 2023.
From Vancouver on the west coast of Canada, the journey takes him to Vancouver Island with its endless beaches, pristine rainforests and idyllic villages. This is followed by a 750 km stretch on the lonely Stewart Cassiar Highway in the north of British Columbia. It tells of endless expanses, encounters with wild bears and huge forest fires as well as unusual encounters with travelers and locals that can only be experienced in the wilderness of North America. The Yukon Territory alone is one and a half times the size of Germany, but only sparsely populated. Hundreds of kilometers by bike without towns and shopping facilities are a real challenge, but also a unique and unforgettable nature experience.
Of course, there are also plenty of tips and suggestions for your own trips.
